Admirals make moves for the future!
The West Sound Admirals have made several moves at the WSHL trade deadline. The deadline was fast and furious as the Admirals were one of the biggest movers at the deadline. The Admirals with a record of 9 wins and 29 loses in this their inaugural season, have made these moves in anticipation of a much more competitive season in 2019-2020.
"Regardless of our record", quipped general manager David Daniello, 'this season has been a success. We had less than 3 months to recruit a full roster, and we did it. We brought in many talented hockey players this season. but being a younger team, coupled with the vast amount of injuries we sustained over the course of the year, we just couldn't get any momentum. Planning is everything! And our plan hasn't changed. Year two will see leaps and bounds past this season." added Daniello.
Here is a list of moves the Admirals made prior to the trade deadline:
Forward, Oliwer Stensson - traded to El Paso Rhinos for valuable considerations
Forward, Vladislav Polyashov - traded to Southern Oregon Spartans for forward Yehor Honcherenko, forward Matiyar Zhaxylkov, forward Sarp Demeizen and valuable considerations
Sarp Demerizen played for his country of Turkey in the World Junior tournament earlier this year.
Forward Dmitrii Munirov - traded to Seattle Totems for valuable considerations
Forward Caleb Travis released from the roster
Forward Benjamin Wiltshire - signed as a free agent
Forward Ian Hofmann - signed as a free agent
Hofmann played for Daniello in the Rangers Organization two seasons ago.
Defense Tyler Perry - Rejoined the organization
"I sincerely wish all the players leaving the organization the best of luck in their futures. I appreciate the work they put in while they were here in Bremerton.' said general manager David Daniello. "These moves, although seemingly significant, are the best thing for the Admirals organization as we move forward. Our intention is to build a team that can contend for the Northwest Division next season. These moves start us in that direction." Daniello finished.
The Admirals next home game is February 23rd against the Bellingham Blazers. We will also be recognizing our amazing Billet families prior to the game. Please come to the Bremerton Ice Center and support the Admirals and their amazing billet families!
